How many people do you know that have a misguided view of Network Marketing from the perspective of feeling that they need to be in every new start up company? These people are normally in two or even three companies or more at a time.
You show me a great leader in Network Marketing and I will show you someone who is committed to one company for the long term. Loyalty to one company pays, in more ways than one.
The following passage, I believe might shed some light on why having your eggs in more than one basket at times is not the best option.
There are some people who are extremely talented and can do anything they put their minds to. They are wonderfully creative, constantly coming up with new and exciting ideas and they blow you away with their passion for life. However, they are not doing nearly as well as they should be.
This description may even fit you! Take a look at this equation I created, it could be the missing factor in your life. (Talent + Creativity) x Passion – ? = Confusion. What is the missing word?
Without the benefits of this word, it does not matter how talented, creative or passionate you are, your endeavours will still be plagued with confusion and disarray.
Any idea what the word is yet? I will give you a clue, it is the ‘F’ word. This ‘F’ word gives your endeavours meaning, clarity and direction. This ‘F’ word of motivation allows you to stay on your path when the road ahead gets blurred, to stick to your plans when the going gets tough.
The ‘F’ word I am speaking of is ‘focus’. Many people believe that they are focused; the problem is that they are focused on too many things. An old adage says, “A man with one watch knows what time it is, a man with two is never sure.”
An issue for creative, talented and passionate people is that their passion and creativity leads them to always come up with new and exciting ideas. That’s great! However, it can lead you to jump from one idea to the next, one network marketing company to the next, never giving yourself enough time to maximise on any one of the great opportunities you have in front of you.
Your life becomes full of what I call ‘Incomplete Cycles’. The residue left over from previous uncompleted ideas and projects that are still going on in your life. This leads to your mind becoming cluttered, frustrated and unfocused, as there is so much going on in there.
Often he who does too much, does too little. The shortest way to do many things is to do only one thing at a time.
As Anthony Robbins says, “One reason so few of us achieve what we truly want is that we never direct our focus; we never concentrate our power. Most people dabble their way through life, never deciding to master anything in particular.”
Always remember to keep the main thing – the main thing. When you focus on the main thing, you will move from being a ‘jack of all trades’, to being a ‘master of one’ that will enable you to achieve the greatness, your talent, creativity and passion deserves.
Remember loyalty pays.
